Tampa School of Real Estate Policies
Last Updated: November 30, 2025
These policies and procedures are in place so that we may continue to offer an exceptional education experience to all students. Tampa School of Real Estate reserves the right to amend these policies at any time without notice. Please check this page for the most current version.
Quick Links to Other Legal Policies:
Classroom Conduct & Zero Tolerance
All students are expected to not disrupt the learning environment of others. TSRE maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, hate speech, threats, or physical aggression towards instructors, staff, or fellow students. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the program with no refund of tuition or deposits. Your instructor may impose any additional rules necessary to maintain order and an effective learning environment.
Academic Integrity (Cheating)
Per Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) rules, TSRE maintains a zero-tolerance policy for academic dishonesty. Any form of cheating, including using unauthorized materials during exams, plagiarism, or having another individual complete online coursework on your behalf, will result in immediate course failure and dismissal from the program with no refund.
No Solicitation or Recruiting
FREC rules strictly prohibit the recruitment of students for employment or brokerage affiliation during instructional hours. To maintain a focused educational environment, solicitation is not permitted inside the classroom. However, TSRE hosts dedicated events, such as the Florida Real Estate Career Fair, to help students connect with brokers and explore career opportunities in a compliant setting.
Attendance Requirements
Per Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) regulations, students are required to attend 100% of the classroom instruction.
-
Missed Time: Students cannot miss more than 8 hours of class time for the 63-Hour Pre-Licensing course. Missing more than 8 hours will result in a failing grade or require the student to transfer to a future class to retake the missed material.
-
Tardiness: Arriving late or leaving early is recorded and counts toward your missed time limit.
Instructor & Schedule Changes
TSRE reserves the right to change instructors, class schedules, or physical locations as necessary due to illness, availability, or operational requirements. While we make every effort to notify students in advance, such changes do not constitute grounds for a full refund outside of the standard refund policy.
Class Cancellations (Low Enrollment)
TSRE reserves the right to cancel any scheduled live class due to low enrollment. In such cases, registered students will be notified at least 48 hours in advance and given the option to transfer to a future class, convert to a Live Online/On-Demand format, or receive a full refund. TSRE is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by the student due to a cancellation.
Inclement Weather & Force Majeure
In the event of severe weather (e.g., hurricanes, tropical storms) or other acts of nature that render a physical location unsafe or unusable, TSRE reserves the right to cancel classes. In such cases, no refunds will be issued; however, students will be rescheduled to the next available class date or transferred to a Live Online format at no additional cost. We will communicate all closures via email and text message as soon as a decision is made.
Communication Policy
The primary method of communication for class updates, exam results, and administrative notices is email. It is the student's responsibility to ensure their email address on file is current and to regularly check their inbox (including Spam/Junk folders). TSRE is not responsible for academic consequences resulting from missed communications due to invalid contact information or email filters.
Course Expiration
Unless otherwise noted on the specific course description, all course registrations and access to online materials expire 1 year from the date of purchase.
-
TSRE+ Subscribers: Access to courses included in the TSRE+ program remains active only as long as the monthly subscription is in good standing.
-
Extensions: Course extensions may be purchased for a fee by contacting an advisor prior to expiration.
Special Accommodations (ADA)
TSRE is committed to helping every student succeed. If you have specific learning needs or disabilities, we recommend contacting our administration office prior to enrollment. We offer various course formats (such as self-paced vs. live instruction) and can help you select the one that best meets your needs. Additionally, we can provide guidance to help you understand the process for requesting accommodations for the State Exam, although please note that official accommodations are subject to approval by the state (DBPR) and Pearson Vue.
Promotions & Price Adjustments
Promotional prices and discounts are valid only for the duration of the promotion. Price adjustments for previously purchased courses are only permitted if the request is made within the 30-day refund window and meets the following criteria:
-
Live Classes: The class must not have started yet, and seats must still be available at the promotional price.
-
On-Demand Courses: To secure the lower price, the student must be un-enrolled and re-enrolled in the course. Warning: This will reset all course progress to 0%, and the student must restart the course from the beginning.
Course Certificates
Course completion certificates are valid for licensure purposes for two (2) years from the date of completion. Electronic copies of certificates are provided at no additional cost via email or a direct access link. We do not charge fees for re-sending electronic certificates.
Shipping Policy
Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. If a physical item is returned or a course is cancelled/refunded after materials have been shipped, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund amount.
Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
During class time, all cell phones and electronic devices must be silenced. Repeat offenses not only disrupt the learning environment, but also may result in your removal from the class. These electronic devices may not be used for recording of class lectures, even if only for personal use.
Recording Devices
Recording devices of any kind are strictly prohibited. Please visit our exam prep page for tools available to help you study.
Smoking and E-Cigarettes
Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings and corridors. If a designated smoking area is not specified, please refrain from smoking within 25 feet of all entrances.
Parking
Parking will be designated by your instructor or administrative staff. Tampa School of Real Estate does not assume any responsibility for theft and students are to park at their own risk.
Classroom Etiquette
Please ensure you do not disrupt the learning environment during class time. Not only is this a detriment to your learning but also your fellow students. Please refrain from cross talk during class time and raise your hand whenever you have a question or something to add.
Outside of Curriculum
All courses offered at the Tampa School of Real Estate have a predetermined curriculum. To ensure all necessary topics are covered within the allotted time, anything that does not pertain to the class curriculum cannot be covered during class time. Your instructor may try to put your question into context of the curriculum, but due to time constraints may not answer questions outside of the curriculum. We welcome you to submit your extra curricular questions to be answered on our weekly live streams.
Legal and Accounting Advice
While many of the courses offered at the Tampa School of Real Estate cover various laws and rules, nothing taught during our courses is offered as legal or accounting advice. We strongly recommend consulting an attorney, accountant or the appropriate professional for professional advice.
Transfer Policy
Any transfers between classes must be approved by administration. A fee may be assessed for transfers that occur after a class has began.
Online to Classroom Any student who originally enrolled in an online course, may transfer their registration to a classroom course with no transfer fee imposed as long as the initial registration occurred within the last 30 days and the course has not yet been completed. Any difference in tuition must be paid prior to starting the new class. When transfers do occur, the initial registration date remains in effect to determine eligibility for retakes and any other policies.
Classroom to Online Prior to attending any part of a classroom course, a transfer to an online course may be granted with no additional transfer fee imposed. If a student has attended more than three hours of a classroom course, a fee may be imposed for transfer to the online course. When transfers do occur, the initial registration date remains in effect to determine eligibility for retakes and any other policies. If this is not the first transfer between classes, or registration was beyond 30 days, please contact an advisor to determine applicable transfer fees.
Retake Guarantee
Tampa School of Real Estate offers a retake guarantee until the expiration of the registration for course. If any student shall not pass the end of course exam for a course, as per Florida Real Estate Commission rules, they must first wait thirty (30) days and then will be eligible for to take a different version of the end of course exam. If a student shall not pass the end of course exam on the second attempt, as per Florida Real Estate Commission rules, the student must retake the course again in full. No fees will be assessed for any of the above retake procedures as long as they are completed before their course registration expires.
Course Materials
Students will only be given one textbook. It is the students responsibility to bring the textbook to every class. Textbooks are updated regularly, should a student desire the latest version of the textbook, the student may purchase the textbook from the Tampa School of Real Estate bookstore. All digital materials have limited time to access based on the course type. Some materials such as PDF's may be able to be downloaded for offline access, however an internet connection is required to access most materials.
Technical Requirements for Online Courses
Students enrolled in Live Online or On-Demand courses are responsible for ensuring they meet the minimum technical requirements, including a reliable high-speed internet connection, a working microphone/webcam (for attendance/proctoring), and a compatible device (desktop or laptop recommended; tablets/phones may be limited). TSRE is not responsible for technical issues arising from a student's personal equipment or internet connection.
Course Audit
A student may request to audit any of the courses offered at the Tampa School of Real Estate. A course audit allows a student to complete a course without receiving credit for the course. Tuition for course audits is discounted from normal course tuition. If a student would like to receive credit for the course, any difference between the full tuition and discounted tuition must be paid. Please contact an advisor for audit pricing.
State Licensure Fees & Reporting
Tuition paid to TSRE covers the course instruction and school exam only. It does not cover the Florida State Application fee or the Pearson Vue state exam fee.
-
Completion Reporting: Upon passing your end-of-course exam, TSRE will electronically report your completion to the DBPR. Please allow up to 48 hours (or 2 business days) for this data to process before attempting to schedule your state exam with Pearson Vue.
Student Data & Legal Name
It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the name provided at registration matches their government-issued photo ID and their application with the DBPR exactly. TSRE reports course completions using the information provided by the student. We are not responsible for delays in licensure validation resulting from mismatched names or incorrect data.
Passing is Not Guaranteed
While tremendous effort has been made to help ensure the success of our students in our various programs, it is up to the student to study the material in order to pass the exams. Our PassFirstTry.com strategy is only a recommendation of how to study to pass your exams on the first try. Due to FS 475.451 & FAC 61J2-17.013 we are unable to guarantee that you will pass any exams, and cannot provide any refunds if a student does not pass their exam.
Refund of Course Deposit
Deposits for courses are non-refundable. Unused deposits can be applied to other courses, materials or study tools offered by the Tampa School of Real Estate for up to 1-Year after the class start date of the initial registration.
Refund of Course Tuition (Minus Deposit, Textbooks & Processing Fees)
The balance of any course tuition minus deposit, textbooks and processing fees is refundable if a written request is made within 30 days of the initial registration date and the student has not completed or attended more than the first unit of the course. Once the student has progressed beyond the first unit, the course tuition is no longer refundable. Eligible refund requests typically take 7-21 days for review and processing.
Refunds for Bundled Packages
If a refund is requested for a "Bundle" or "Package" purchase (e.g., Pre-Licensing + Post-Licensing), the refund amount is calculated by charging the full retail price for any courses/materials already used or attended, and refunding the remaining balance. The bundle discount is forfeited if the package is broken.
Refund of Textbooks & Digital Downloads
Physical textbooks are non-refundable once issued. Digital products (including PDF study guides, MP3 audio reviews, and practice exam simulations) are non-refundable once the file has been downloaded or the access code has been redeemed, as these materials cannot be returned.
Chargebacks and Disputed Payments
In the event of a chargeback or disputed payment, all courses and completions will be immediately suspended and voided. Deactivated courses may result in the loss of any progress made in the current course. To reactivate access, a $47 fee will be required once the payment issue is resolved. We urge students to resolve disputes swiftly to prevent interruptions in their educational progress. For assistance, please contact our administrative team.
Payment Plans & Financing
Any third-party financing fees or terms, such as those from Shop Pay Installments, PayPal, or other lenders, are not managed by TSRE. These arrangements are subject entirely to the policies of those providers. If a refund is issued for a financed purchase, it will be returned to the lender, and the student remains responsible for any non-refundable interest or fees charged by the financing provider.
Late Fee
Any tuition payments that are made after the first day of class are subject to a $10.00 late fee.
Gift Cards
All gift card sales are final. Gift cards do not expire. Gift cards only redeemable for tampaschoolofrealestate.com purchases.
