Experienced Educator Helping You Succeed in Real Estate
Mary Ellen Carta is a Florida real estate instructor and licensed real estate agent serving the Tampa Bay and Hillsborough County area, with a passion for helping students build confidence and succeed in their real estate careers. With more than 16 years of experience as an educator, Mary Ellen brings a structured, supportive, and results-driven approach to every class, helping students prepare for the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) licensing exam and beyond.
Mary Ellen began her career in education in New Jersey, working in both private and public schools with elementary students, including those with learning disabilities. After relocating to Florida, she continued her work in the classroom, guiding students to success in reading, writing, science, and math. Her background in education gives her a unique ability to break down complex real estate topics into clear, easy-to-understand lessons that support every type of learner.
Since earning her Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license in 2015, Mary Ellen has helped numerous buyers and sellers successfully achieve their residential real estate goals. As a member of the National Association of Realtors® and Greater Tampa Realtors®, she brings valuable real-world insight into her classes. She is also experienced with important homebuyer programs such as Hometown Heroes, Hillsborough County Home Sweet Home, and the Florida Bond Program, helping students understand how these opportunities impact real estate transactions in Florida.
Mary Ellen holds several professional real estate certifications, including Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Military Relocation Professional (MRP). She earned her B.A. from Georgian Court University and her M.S. from Walden University, further strengthening her foundation as both an educator and real estate professional.
